JOB SUMMARY:

Are you an IT professional looking to work in an innovative, forward-moving, and trendsetting environment?  The Arizona Department of Child Safety (DCS) is looking for an experienced IT professional who would be responsible for testing DCS's existing and new software applications.    This position would also be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of quality, stable, and scalable product solutions.  You would work closely with the DCS’s product team to develop and execute test suites and scenarios that exercise software features and functionality throughout the development life cycle.

JOB DUTIES: 

-          The Quality Insurance Analyst participates as an observer in formal reviews of business requirements and application designs;

-           The Quality Insurance Analyst creates test plans, data, procedures, and manual and/or automated test scripts;

-          The Quality Insurance Analyst provides input to test coverage based on requirements and design specifications;

-          The Quality Insurance Analyst writes and reproduces accurate software problem reports.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

-          Quality assurance and testing tools and processes

-          Software development processes including analysis, design, coding, system and user testing, problem resolution and planning

-          Business applications

Skill in:

-          Verbal and written communication

-          Strong customer service

-          Establishing and maintaining interpersonal relationships

-          Troubleshooting issues effectively and efficiently

-          Providing proficient quality assurance

Ability to:

-          Balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks

-          Work collaboratively in teams and across organizations

-          Synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly

SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR(S): 

Employees may be required to use their own transportation as well as maintaining valid motor vehicle insurance and current Arizona vehicle registration; however, mileage will be reimbursed

Must be able to secure and maintain clearance from the CPS Central Registry.

Must be able to secure and maintain an Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

The preferred candidate will possess a BA/BS in Computer Science or related experience. Possess 5+ years of IT experience working in Data Architecture & Modeling experience with Data Warehouse/Data Marts/OLTP systems.  Possess 5+ years of experience with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and possess 3+ years of relevant database development experience in Microsoft SQL Server 2008/2012 or higher.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
