  JOB SUMMARY

 

Performs journey level customer service activities; monitoring contractors for compliance, researching; compiling information; analyzing policy and procedures; form revisions; interpretations of organizational rules. Provides problem resolution, guidance and assistance. Position assists in coordinating the functional operations of the driver education programs. CLICK HERE to learn more about MVD!

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Confer with customers to provide product services; resolve customer inquiries, complaints and issues; provide guidance and assistance

·         Provide application packages and procedures; and compose correspondence on a wide variety of subjects

·         Conduct research compiling information to respond to customer inquiries

·         Review and analyze applications for compliance

·         Prepare/process State contracts/agreements for DLTP applicants. Ensure timely renewal

·         Assist in coordinating driver education programs.

·         Maintain funds accountability, program files, records, various forms as well as deposit application fees

 

·         Identify applicant training requirements and review current processes for applicability or revision

·         Schedule instructor/trainer examinations. Prepare copies of required training materials.

·         Monitor the performance and status of schools and related projects

·         Perform a variety of data entry tasks

·         Complete special projects as assigned. Prepare, monitor and track various reports and inventory

 

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

 

 Knowledge in

·         Applicable statutes, Rules, MVD policies and procedures related to the Driver Services Program.

 

Skills in

·         Customer relations, problem resolution

·         Oral and written communication

·         Computer skills

 

Ability to

·         Prepare and process agreements, compose correspondence on a wide variety of subjects

·         Provide guidance and assistance to school/provider and instructor applicants

 

 PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

 

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

·         Two years of customer service experience including preparing and providing written responses to related questions from the general public

·         Experience evaluating documents for completeness

·         Experience with extensive data entry and managing a high volume of phone calls

 

 PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

 

This position requires possession of a valid Arizona Class D Driver License.  Candidates for this position must complete PART 1 of the State of Arizona Application for Employment at the time of interview, which will allow ADOT to obtain the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR).  The most recent 39-month period shown on the MVR will be reviewed in accordance with A.A.C. R2-10-207.12 (H) and (I).  The review must show an acceptable driving record prior to any offer of employment being made by ADOT.   Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR.
