The position serves as integral function to the agency by providing support to the Administrative Counsel and Rules Office (ACR).  This role requires: maintaining a high level of confidentiality; providing assistance with counsel and rule efforts; timely and accurately tracking and processing legal and rule documents; scheduling and docketing legal proceedings; communicating with Agency programs and assistant attorney general staff as needed; distribution of legal and rule documents both internally and externally; redacting documents; providing a high level of customer service to internal and external customers; providing front desk coverage; and serving as the point of contact for ACR.

JOB SUMMARY

What will I be doing in this job?

-        Providing complex administrative and office support including, research and presentations

-        Drafting, formatting and editing communications

-        Problem solving

-        Answering phone calls

-        Assisting internal and external walk-in customers

-        Filing and mailings

-        Maintaining updated and accurate forms used in ACR

-        Reviewing and redacting sensitive documents for public records requests

-        Coordinating office supply orders and equipment maintenance

-        Strong organizational skills and be able to prioritize as events occur and change

-        Skill and ability to effectively communicate with Department personnel and the public

-        Skill and ability to maintain effective interpersonal skills

-        Skill and ability to operate a windows-based computer and various software applications

What are the preferred qualifications for this job?

        Office administrative experience preferred

        Legal knowledge experience preferred

Employment Requirements
