The Arizona Lottery is currently seeking a high-energy individual to fill an Investigative Specialist position.

  • Conducting complex data analysis for case reports and preparing written documentation of regulatory, statutory, and administrative case reports;
  • Verifying ticket authenticity for all High-Tier winning tickets using provided tools, and assisting with ticket verification;
  • Performing the duty of auditor for night time drawings;
  • Conducting analysis of reported missing and stolen tickets to confirm the status of these tickets for proper placement in the ticket inventory;
  • Responding to and preparing initial case information received from the public or Lottery claims for assignments to Senior Investigators.

  JOB SUMMARY

 

The Arizona Lottery is currently seeking a high-energy individual to fill an Investigative Specialist position.

 

Responsibilities include: 

  • Conducting complex data analysis for case reports and preparing written documentation of regulatory, statutory, and administrative case reports;
  • Verifying ticket authenticity for all High-Tier winning tickets using provided tools, and assisting with ticket verification;
  • Performing the duty of auditor for night time drawings;

  KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

 

Requires Knowledge of:

 

  • Knowledge of Lottery rules and policies in relation to case completion;
  • Knowledge of computers, telephones, standard business equipment, Lottery computers and Lottery game terminals.

 

Requires Skills in:

 

  • Comprehensive report writing skills, to include the production of timely and accurate reports and documentation;
  • Oral communication skills;
  • Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, the Internet and database input and retrieval;
  • Familiar with Google Suite;
  • Skill in applying work management and lead techniques and reviewing and determining that case files are proper.

 

Requires the Ability to:

 

  • Ability to handle and prioritize a large caseload;
  • Ability to extract and utilize facts from a variety of sources and apply the relevant statutes, rules and policies to prepare clear, accurate and quality legal documents within specified timeframes. 

 

Licenses/Certifications:

 

  • Requires High School or GED graduation certificate or diploma;
  • Typing certificate indicating ability to type a minimum of thirty-five (35) wpm.;
  • Knowledge of reporting and research acquired through 2 years of college level training courses.
