JOB SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for inventory accountability, receiving, and distributing materials at ASPC-Lewis.

JOB DUTIES: 

-        Coordinates, plans, evaluates, and addresses concerns related to warehouse operations and functions

-        Verifies accuracy and condition of incoming shipments and ensures proper documentation

-        Supervises inmate labor

-        Assists the Warehouse Supervisor

-        Maintains a safe work environment

-        Assists staff with order inquiries

-        Maintains Warehouse inventory of product and restock

-        Drives on State business

-        Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment

 

SPECIAL SELECTION FACTOR(S) – THE FOLLOWING ARE REQUIRED:

Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs):

Knowledge of:

-        Computerized inventory procedures

-        Personal computers and software applications using Microsoft Suite and Google Suite

-        Basic storekeeping procedures, i.e., shipping, receiving, inventory control, and stock rotation

-        Basic record keeping and report preparation

-        General warehouse safety practices

-        Techniques for lifting/moving heavy items

 

Skill in:

-        Maintaining inventory control records

-        Checking incoming items against invoices, bills of lading, and related documents

-        Picking, packing, and staging orders for distribution

-        Projecting materials, supplies, and equipment needs

-        Verbal and written communication

-        Stocking shelves/bins

-        Forklift and pallet jack operation

-        Manually lifting/moving heavy items

 

Ability to:

-        Follow verbal and written instructions

-        Maintain basic inventory control records

-        Use basic work processing and spreadsheet software

-        Operate 10-key adding machine, fax, and photocopier

-        Work in a prison environment

SELECTIVE PREFERENCE(S) - IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL POSSESS:

-        Experience in Warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, inventory control, and fiscal management

-        Experience with automated computer systems and software

-        Working knowledge of safety procedures, OSHA regulations, fire codes, and record keeping requirements

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:
