Job Description

Will provide accurate and timely service to motor vehicle owners of the State of Arizona through the interpretation of and by ensuring compliance with statutes, rules, regulations, policy and procedures pertaining to title and registration of all types of motor vehicles within the State, by proving expert support for internal problems or concerns of a technical nature, by creating and updating accurate customer records and by document examination and researching and resolution of problems and errors.

JOB SUMMARY

Will provide accurate and timely service to motor vehicle owners of the State of Arizona through the interpretation of and by ensuring compliance with statutes, rules, regulations, policy and procedures pertaining to title and registration of all types of motor vehicles within the State, by proving expert support for internal problems or concerns of a technical nature, by creating and updating accurate customer records and by document examination and researching and resolution of problems and errors.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of

·         ARS Title 28 and department policies and procedures for vehicle registration.

·         Statues codes and software screens used by MVD for data entry into the MVD database.

·         MVD forms used for all aspects of vehicle registration renewal.

·         Math a ten key skills for calculating, balancing and reconciling fees and preparing deposits of over half million dollars per day. 

Skills in

·         Interpreting and applying relevant motor vehicle, laws, rules and regulations.

·         Retrieving, analyzing and inputting data via computer terminal.

·         Oral and written communication and interpersonal commutation and customer service.

Ability to

·         Elicit factual information and draw valid conclusions.

·         Operate various equipment such as a personal computer, fax machine, printer, Armani cash drawer software, calculator, validating machine and copier for performance of various work activities.

·         Sit for long periods of time. 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

One year of experience in multi-functional, customer service oriented regulatory or public service environment; any combination of training and experience that meets the KSA’s may be substituted, typically acquired through a combination of experience, MVD provided hands-on and classroom training. 

PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

This position requires possession of a valid Arizona Class D Driver License. Candidates for this position must complete and sign PART 1 and PART 2 of the State of Arizona Application for Employment at the time of interview, which will allow ADOT to obtain the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR).  The most recent 39-month period shown on the MVR will be reviewed in accordance with A.A.C. R2-10-207.12 (H) and (I).  The review must show an acceptable driving record prior to any offer of employment being made by ADOT.   Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR.
