Job Summary:  The primary role of the Network Coordinator is to support Qualified Vendors (QV) with technical assistance (both fiscal and programmatic) and licensing and certification requirements to provide Residential, Day Program, and Home & Community Based (HCBS) services.  The Network Coordinator assists in acquiring needed services and general information.  This position assists QV and Support Coordinators with technical assistance related to the release process outlined in Article 21-557.  The Network Coordinator collaborates with the Department of Child Safety (DCS), DES Office of License, Certification and Registration (OLCR), and other entities to ensure appropriate placements.

 

 

Job Duties:

·         Recruitment, certification, training and oversight/monitoring of Independent providers. Maintain a provider directory for the district. Maintain and track training requirement renewal for Independent providers.

·         Compose out of home placement requests for central office approval; compose vendor calls for public review, assist with emergency placement needs, request expansions for difficult to serve individuals including matching potential roommates. Set rate for new placements in OLCR homes.

·         Provide technical assistance to QV/independent providers related to strategies/progress reporting requirements.  Review billing practices, employee files and policy of QV as directed by Network Supervisor.  Provide technical assistance as needed to QV and IP providers on billing practices. 

·         Use FOCUS to determine billing; check time sheets for errors; complete data sheet for time sheets showing hours, days, date, service billed and develop databases and methods for tracking billing.  Mediate/negotiate in order to problem solve issues.

·         Maintain all aspects of the IP files: resolve payment issues with PPL; send withdrawal forms; complete employer of record forms; close out provider files; process amendments to DDD control system.  Provide information pertaining to certified trainers for IP to utilize in updating their certification requirements, teach skill building classes for IP’s providing habilitation.

·         Assist support coordination as needed with identification of potential QV providers (vendor calls/direct referrals) or other resources for identified needs. Attend/assist in coordinating pre-placement meetings/post placement meetings as requested by the team.

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities/Qualifications/Requirements:

 

·         Knowledge in 1) Working knowledge of people with developmental disabilities, 2) Basic principles and practices of Case Management.

·         Skilled in 1) oral and written communication, 2) Interpersonal relations as applied to contacts with members and representatives of other governmental and community organizations and the public Planning 3) Using computer software/programs, (Microsoft Office Products)

·         Ability to 1) Organize information quickly and logically and remain flexible as priorities change

       2) Work effectively with a wide range of personalities and team members.

      3) Adapt and be sensitive to cultural diversity

·         In-state travel is required

·         The ideal/preferred candidate will possess at least (1) year of experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.

·         Successfully pass background and reference check; employment is contingent upon completion of the above-mentioned process and the Agency’s ability to reasonably accommodate any restrictions
