Federal Fiscal Monitoring Auditor

 Grants Management Section

Phoenix Location

Salary Range: $55,000 - $65,000


  • Review and follow-up findings related to single audits as well as other auditing information submitted by subgrantees
  • Process audit evaluations in accordance with the ADE policies
  • Review and follow-up on corrective actions to ensure complete resolution of all Single Audit findings
  • Performing fiscal audits
  • Draft correspondence to local education agencies (LEAs)
  • Prepare monitoring documents and reports
  • Confirm compliance with applicable grant, federal, and state regulations and requirements
  • Perform other duties as necessary to complete fiscal audits
  • In-state travel is required for this position

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business administration, accounting, auditing, or a related field and/or equivalent job-related experience

  • Preference will be given to those applicants with:
    • Progressively more responsible accounting and/or auditing or similar work experience
    • A combination of formal education and work experience
    • Prior knowledge of federal or state grants management processes
