The Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation & Reentry (ADCRR) is seeking a qualified individual to fulfill the role of the Recruitment Manager. The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate, proactive, solution oriented, creative and able to think and learn quickly.  This is an ever-evolving role and the ability to juggle competing priorities, while remaining composed, thorough and detail oriented is critical.

This position is responsible for management and oversight of all recruitment activities for Correctional Officers statewide through direct supervision of recruitment staff at Central Office, the Tucson Recruitment Office and indirect supervision of the Satellite Recruitment Centers (SRC).


-          Lead, coach and mentor Central Office and SRC recruitment staff to ensure the execution of all phases of the recruitment process including but not limited to applicant testing procedures, out of state recruitment, job fairs and high school/college campus activities

-          Develop a sourcing strategy that includes social media, internet, networking and community involvement/partnerships

-          Prepare and present metric-driven recruiting reports on key performance indicators by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

-          Schedules and attend meetings

-          Drives on state business

-          Performs other duties appropriate to the assignment



Requires possession of, and ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment. Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license record checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any required driver training (see Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.12).


Knowledge of:

-          Arizona Revised Statutes related to area of assignment

-          ADOA Personnel Rules and Practices

-          Arizona Post rules

-          State and ADCRR policies and practices, sound correction practices

-          Principles and practices in recruiting and hiring practices

-          Principles and practices of supervision

-          Creation and presentation for reports and plans


Skill in:

-          Written and verbal communication

-          Initiating and maintain relationships at all organizational levels

-          Presenting presentations and public speaking

-          Setting unit goals, objectives and performance measures


Ability to:

-          Lead and manage a work team

-          Prioritize, set and meet team goals

-          Use electronic tools such as word processing, spreadsheets, and data bases

-          Multi-task and manager multiple projects and changing priorities



Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience.


Employment is contingent on the selected applicant passing a background investigation.
