CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE 4

JOB SUMMARY

 This position is open only to current ADOT employees 

The Technical Support Unit positions are considered subject matter experts with specialized training and perform senior level customer service, responding to a high volume of complex inquiries from MVD Field Offices, Court personnel, Law Enforcement and other government entities in and out of the state of Arizona. This individual will be responsible for providing highly technical and specialized instruction in the driver license and title and registration processes and procedures on complex cases and carrying out tasks that require considerable judgment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

·         Answer complex calls involving customer records from various MVD offices, court personnel, law enforcement and other government agencies nationwide

·         Research, advise, interpret, update, consult, collaborate, counsel, guide and resolve problems relative to D/L and T/R records.

·         Review PDPS, NMVTIS, CDLIS, ELT and SPEXS error and batch reports retrieved from the internal Control D systems as well as from AAMVA to determine if suspension, revocation, disqualification and/or cancellation of license are required as well as verifying if a drover pointer will be added, pulled or deleted.  

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge in

·         ARS Title 13, 28, 41 and the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration’s Rules and Regulations

·         Applicable MVD Software, databases, screens and codes

·         Oral and written communication skills

Skills in

·         Proficient in the use of electronic verification systems and fraud detection equipment/tools to identify suspicious or fraudulent source documents 

·         Public and customer relations and problem resolution  

Ability to

·         Communicate with internal and external customers on the policies and procedures that pertains to customer records.

·         Learn and interpret CDLIS, PDPS, ELT, NMVTIS, SPEX policies and procedures and MVD organization 

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

The ideal candidate for this position will have:

Experience researching and investigative of analyzing MVR that pertains to A.R.S. Titles 13, 28 and 41. FMCSA’s rules and regulations.

Certified completion of MVD “Q” series classes Authorized Presence class and other internal Customer Service and general knowledge classes presented by MVD 

 PRE-EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS

This position requires possession of a valid Arizona Class D Driver License.  Candidates for this position must complete and sign PART 1 and PART 2 of the State of Arizona Application for Employment at the time of interview, which will allow ADOT to obtain the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR).  The most recent 39-month period shown on the MVR will be reviewed in accordance with A.A.C. R2-10-207.12 (H) and (I).  The review must show an acceptable driving record prior to any offer of employment being made by ADOT.   Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR.
