Motor Vehicle Division

Will provide accurate and timelyservice to motor vehicle owners of the State of Arizona through theinterpretation of and by ensuring compliance with statutes, rules, regulations,policy and procedures pertaining to title and registration of all types of motorvehicles within the State, by proving expert support for internal problems orconcerns of a technical nature, by creating and updating accurate customerrecords and by document examination and researching and resolution of problemsand errors.

Knowledge of

·         ARS Title 28 and department policiesand procedures for vehicle registration.

·         Statues codes and software screens usedby MVD for data entry into the MVD database.

·         MVD forms used for all aspects ofvehicle registration renewal.

·         Math a ten key skills for calculating,balancing and reconciling fees and preparing deposits of over half milliondollars per day.


Skills in

·         Interpreting and applying relevantmotor vehicle, laws, rules and regulations.

·         Retrieving, analyzing and inputtingdata via computer terminal.

·         Oral and written communication andinterpersonal commutation and customer service.


·         Elicit factual information and drawvalid conclusions.

·         Operate various equipment such as apersonal computer, fax machine, printer, Armani cash drawer software,calculator, validating machine and copier for performance of various workactivities.

·         Sit for long periods of time.




The ideal candidate for this positionwill have:

One year of experience in multi-functional, customer service orientedregulatory or public service environment; any combination of training andexperience that meets the KSA’s may be substituted, typically acquired througha combination of experience, MVD provided hands-on and classroom training.




This position requires possession of avalid Arizona Class D Driver License. Candidates for this position mustcomplete and sign PART 1 and PART 2 of the State of ArizonaApplication for Employment at the time of interview, which will allow ADOT toobtain the candidate's motor vehicle record (MVR).  The most recent39-month period shown on the MVR will be reviewed in accordance with A.A.C.R2-10-207.12 (H) and (I).  The review must show an acceptable drivingrecord prior to any offer of employment being made by ADOT.  Employment is contingent upon an acceptable MVR.
