JOB SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of this position shall be to directly handle all system testing and troubleshooting of the web based application of the Arizona State Immunization Information System (ASIIS). This includes understanding the data in the system and the User Interface (UI) and understanding how the Immunization Program and the AZ vaccine providers are using various ASIIS functionalities.

What will I be doing in this job?

-         Troubleshooting issues related to the functionalities in ASIIS

-         Identifying ASIIS application issues, document and report to appropriate parties, and work to resolve them in a timely manner with assistance from the contracted IIS Developer

-         Testing and reporting the issue resolution to the ASIIS Program Manager and the ASIIS Technical Team

-         Conducting broad scope of program specific analyses of work processes, procedures and practices to devise the most effective and efficient methods of accomplishing work

-         May present recommendations to management, and coordinate implementation of process and system improvements

-         Maintaining and using a well-documented testing process including regression testing of the current functionalities, thorough testing of new functionalities, HL7 messaging validation testing and data evaluation methods

-         Planning, scheduling, and communicating with all interested parties regarding ongoing testing and ASIIS release and patch upgrades

-         Reviewing and approving submissions for the annual re-enrollment of VFC providers statewide and shall provide technical assistance and consultation for the re-enrollment process

-         Communicating to and assisting providers to correctly manage their inventory in the ASIIS Vaccine Order Management System

-         Researching the issue, analyzing findings, recommending practical solutions to the providers and assisting in implementation of the solution

-         Assisting with the development of written program protocols, development of trainings and assisting with production of written and other data reports as required by the program manager

Qualifications?

The ideal candidate will have:

-         Bachelor's degree in business administration and 1 year experience in business administration and related experience in the analysis, presentation and manipulation of data sets OR 5 years’ experience in business administration and related experience in the analysis, presentation and manipulation of data sets

-         Preference given to applicants with information technology and database knowledge

Licenses and Certifications?

Driving is required for State Business.

-          Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.  Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).
