JOB SUMMARY

 

This position is required to provide IT technical support for Arizona Department of Health Services personnel, specifically related to server technology and cloud computing technology. This position will provide 3rd tier server support and is responsible for server administration, system availability, system updates and upgrades. This position also supports multiple platforms and applications, including AWS technologies, Microsoft Biztalk, Microsoft IIS, Active Directory, Web servers and other systems as assigned.

 

What will I be doing in this job?

-Updating maintaining, tuning and troubleshooting server infrastructure.

-Providing configuration change proposals for compliance to established guidelines and standards.

-Performing system analysis and design, constructs and test infrastructure.

-Provides guidance, assistance and training.

-Ongoing system security remediation of Windows based systems.

-Other duties as assigned as related to the position

 

 

What does this job require?

-Knowledge of various infrastructure technologies and in-house developed applications utilized in the enterprise.

-Experience with Microsoft Windows Server including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, IIS, Windows group policies, monitoring, PowerShell scripting, VMware, and AWS configuration tools.

-Familiar with SharePoint and Microsoft Biztalk

-Knowledgeable in Performance Management (PM), and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), and Lean methodologies.

-Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication as well as strong customer service skills.

-Computer / Network troubleshooting skills.

-Organizational and time management skills.

-Expert troubleshooting skills.

-Demonstrated ability to balance, prioritize and organize multiple tasks.

-Experience working collaboratively in teams and across organizations.

-Ability to synthesize feedback and adjust plans accordingly.

-Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships inside and outside the organization.

-Demonstrated ability to develop and write technical documentation as well as evaluate and test emerging technologies.

-Demonstrated ability to install and repair PC hardware and software.

-Demonstrated ability to perform advanced design, maintenance and repair of servers.

-Demonstrated expertise in information system configuration management.

-Analyze, evaluate and draw conclusions.

-Communicate effectively with the IT organization, project, and application development teams, management and business personnel.

Qualifications?

The ideal candidate will have:

-Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of extensive experience in systems engineering (or equivalent experience)

 

Licenses and Certifications?

 

-Must possess a valid level one fingerprint clearance card issues pursuant to A.R.S. §36-113.

 

Driving is required for State Business.

-         Employees who drive on state business require possession of and the ability to retain a current, valid state-issued driver’s license appropriate to the assignment.  Employees who drive on state business are subject to driver’s license checks, must maintain acceptable driving records and must complete any driver training (See Arizona Administrative Code R2-10-207.11).
