This position is responsible for management of all Real Estate Appraisal Division complaint files, including progress by contracted investigators.  This position is responsible for monitoring all disciplined appraisers to ensure compliance with assigned education or probation requirements; preparing and monitoring all disciplinary correspondence, assist in the processing of notices of hearings, and communicate to all parties in a timely manner per Division rules; maintain accurate files, complete database updates and related complaint statistics; post statistics to the website per statute, and update the National Registry related to disciplinary matters. Other duties include appraisal report reviews, updating policies and procedures, assisting with preparation for the biennial ASC review of the department, and coordinating the voluntary audit program for approved education classes being held. 


  • Responds to oral and written inquiries from appraisers, homeowners, lenders, other agencies, and members of the public 

  • Manage the process and maintain all complaint files relating to the Real Estate Appraisal Division including Appraisers, Property Tax Agents, and Appraisal Management Companies

  • Monitors compliance of disciplinary terms imposed upon discipled appraisers. Assists with preparation for the biennial ASC review of the department

  • Maintains status for all complaints to assist Division Manager in pulling correct status reports; reports complaint statistics periodically to the public, as prescribed in statute; and reports disciplinary data to the Appraisal Subcommittee National Registry website

  • Licensing Requirement: A current certified residential license issued by the Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions



  • Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) established by the Appraisal Standards Board

  • R.E. Appraisal Division statutes under ARS 32-3600 Articles 1 through 5 and AAC Title 4, Chapter 46

  • Policies and procedures as established by the R.E. Appraisal Division


  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Google equivalency, and adept at Microsoft spreadsheet programs


  • Analytical and logical thinking

  • Interpersonal communications (both verbal and written)

  • Self-motivated, self-starter and able to work independently

  • Must be highly organized for accuracy and efficiency


  • Arizona Certified Residential Appraiser required per A.R.S. 32-3601

  • Valid Arizona Driver's License
